In 2017, the Rock & Rock Writers Festival returns for its second year, today announcing the final list of speakers for the literary event, set to be hosted at the Old Museum in Brisbane on Saturday, April 1st and Sunday, April 2nd.
The final round of speakers is headed up by Flying Nun Records founder Roger Shepherd (pictured) and Magic Dirt's Adalita, who will appear alongside a mix of established authors such as Matt Noffs, Brently Frazer, David Burton and Sally Breen, an eclectic mix of musicians, including Sarah Connor, Kahl Wallis, Ngaiire and Leah Cotterell, as well as music journalists, such as Bec Mac and ABC's Rhianna Patrick.
This cast join those previously confirmed, including award-winning U.S. writer and Rolling Stone contributor Holly George-Warren, author Nick Earls, You Am I's Tim Rogers, Rolling Stone Australia editor Rod Yates and many more.

Organisers have also today revealed the weekend's full program, with sessions set to cover a broad range of topics, including the stereotypes of rock masculinity, how teenagers creatively express themselves and the role of modern music critics. Tickets are also available now, both as single day and weekend passes.
In addition, in 2017 the festival will head out on the road, visiting Melbourne for a "tour edition" on Sunday, April 9th. Tickets are available now, with the final line-up for the event set to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
