This morning Bluesfest organisers revealed the first line-up for its 2017 festival, to be hosted at their Byron Bay site on the Easter long weekend — Thursday, April 13th to Monday, April 17th.
Leading the line-up is iconic American artist Patti Smith who will be returning to Australia for the first time in eight years. Joined by her full band, she'll be performing ground-breaking 1975 debut Horses in full.
Alongside Smith, this initial roster also includes chart-topping country music outfit, Zac Brown Band, British folk-punk activist Billy Bragg, blues legend Buddy Guy, gospel royalty Mavis Staples, folk-rockers The Lumineers, as well as Trombone Shorty, Gregory Porter, Beth Hart, Andrew Bird and more.
