After flirting with the idea for several years, in late 2013 Grinspoon announced they'd be going on an indefinite hiatus. While the band's parting statement hinting that it wasn't the last we'd heard from the Lismore alt-rockers — including that they remained "excited to see what our future hold" — few thought that a Grinspoon reunion would occur so soon, with the announcement this morning that the band have reformed and will play as the main support on the upcoming Cold Chisel tour.
"I honestly didn’t think Grinspoon would be playing together again, so to get this opportunity by such a legendary act is humbling", frontman Phil Jameson said in today's statement, before adding in his usual larikin manner, "now, what the hell am I going to wear?"
The Cold Chisel 'One Night Stand' tour kicks off early November in North Queensland. Full dates and details available via their website.
