To coincide with it's 20-year anniversary, Grinspoon will take their iconic 1997 debut, Guide To Better Living, back on the road, announcing on a Monday an extensive national tour for mid-2017. The Lismore grunge quartet will play the album in full from start-to-finish at each show on the 27-date run, which will stop off at all states and territories of Australia.
The tour kicks off in Traralgon in regional Victoria on June 23rd, the same day the band are set to a release an expanded, 49-track deluxe edition of Guide To Better Living. The commemorative release will feature the original LP in full, alongside a collection of rarities that includes unreleased tracks and live recordings from sets at CBGB in New York and Falls Festival in 1997.
Also included with the double-disc package is a 36-page book featuring unreleased photos, lyrics, essays and other memorabilia from the era. Pre-orders for the release are available now via the band's website.
"I know that playing this album from start to finish is going to be one of the most challenging, enjoyable and kickass things I'll ever do", says frontman Phil Jamieson of the tour. Tickets for which are set to go on sale to the general public on April 10th at 9am, with Telstra and Velocity Frequent Flyer customers getting pre-sale access from April 5th and April 7th respectively.
