Katy Perry announced her new album Witness, the follow-up to 2013's Prism, is due out June 9th. A massive North American tour will follow.
The North American leg of the Witness: The Tour begins September 7th and will find Perry filling 43 arenas in the U.S. and Canada, with the trek concluding February 5th in Vancouver.
The stretch of dates include four New York-area shows at each of the tristate area's major arenas: October 2nd at Madison Square Garden, October 3rd at the revamped Nassau Coliseum, October 8th at Newark's Prudential Center and October 11th at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
Tickets for the Witness: The Tour go on sale to the general public on May 22nd, although Citi cardholders and Ticketmaster Verified Fan members will have an opportunity to purchase tickets starting Thursday, May 18th. Perry's website has full ticket information. One dollar from each ticket purchased will go to the Boys & Girls Club of America. Fans will also have a chance to win free tickets by taking action to support that organisation via Global Citizen.
Every ticket purchased for the Witness: The Tour will also be accompanied by a copy of Perry's new album. Witness will likely feature Perry's recent singles "Chained to the Rhythm" and "Bon Appetit," and as evidenced by the album's teaser, a title track called "Witness", revealed overnight via Twitter.
