After arriving on a wave of hype in 2010, somewhat true to their name, City Calm Down decided to take the more considered route. Rather than chasing the next radio rotation, the next gushing Blogspot sentence, the Melbourne band set about working on improving their sound with the squared-up priority of a full-length album. A hibernation which also involved a two year absence from the live scene.
In a rare act of ceremony, the band returned to the stage earlier this month, hosting a sold out show at the Northcote Social Club with the explicit purpose of showing off their new work. Renowned photographer Sam Wong was on hand to capture the action in this exclusive all-access photo diary.
City Calm Down's brand new single, "Rabbit Run", is out now, with their debut LP, In A Restless House, due early November via I Oh You.
