California's Schoolboy Q is set to headline this year's Beyond The Valley festival, with organisers of the New Years festival promising the complete line-up will be announced next week. It will be just over a year since the rappers last visit to Australia in November, 2016, where he played a selection of headline shows in support of his fourth full-length, Blank Face.
The decision to run with an international headliner isn't new for the festival — now in its fourth year — with Chance The Rapper serving as their main drawcard in 2016, while UK producer Jamie xx led the line-up the year prior and Action Bronson and Dillon Francis both on the bill in 2014. For the most part, the rest of the line-up has been largely locally sourced, last year including Sticky Fingers, Montaigne, DZ Deathrays and the Dune Rats.
The festival will be once again hosted at Warragul in rural Victoria and is set to run from December 28th to January 1st.
Tickets for the four-night event will be available from 9am (AEST) on Thursday, August 11th via the festival website.
