See Father John Misty's Cover of Arcade Fire's 'The Suburbs'

Father John Misty's tour recently traveled north of the border to Canada, where the I Love You, Honeybear singer sat down for CBC's b.b. gun session at the Shed in Vancouver. Perhaps as tribute to one of Canada's chief national exports, Father John Misty performed a delicate, acoustic rendition of Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" to an intimate audience of 25 people.

Father John Misty's "The Suburbs" cover comes after the singer dropped a haunting rendition of Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box" for Valentine's Day. In recent months, the singer known as J. Tillman has also performed songs by Leonard Cohen, Cat Stevens and Johnny Cash, Pitchfork reports.

Following the release of I Love You, HoneybearRolling Stone US spoke to Father John Misty about his cutting, ironic and self-criticizing lyrics. "There's a lot of meta in my songs — when I'm writing, I can't avoid the fact that I'm writing," Tillman said.
