During their December Australian tour for new album Modern Ruin, Frank Carter and Rattlesnakes guitarist, Dean Richardson, swung by Rolling Stone's Sydney office to play a stripped-back version of "Beautiful Death", from 2015's Blossom.
While swaying away from their usual hardcore path, the bluesy rendition reflects the soulful rawness that surprisingly shows up on occasion across Modern Ruin — most notably on stark opener "Bluebelle". In a January review, Oliver Pelling praised Modern Ruin as "the work of a man who appears to have finally found himself."
Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes are currently in the middle of an extensive European tour. Full run of remaining dates available here.
