Watch letlive. Perform Soulful, Acoustic Version of 'Foreign Cab Rides'

More

Los Angeles post-hardcore band letlive. recently dropped by Rolling Stone Australia's office to belt out a passionate, stripped-back rendition of their track "Foreign Cab Rides".

In a recent interview with New Noise Magazine, vocalist Jason Butler explained that he recorded the song after he thought he'd ruined his relationship with his wife Gin Wigmore.

"I was a victim of self-sabotage, which I always did because I had to have an escape route", Butler says. "I did it with her and that was the moment I realised that I was fully in love with someone. I recorded it, because I was in such a weird, anxiety-riddled moment that I was voice recording my trip in the cab from the venue to her house to tell her 'I love you. I want to love you'."

"Foreign Cab Rides" features on the band's latest record, If I’m the Devil..., which was included as part of our wrap-up of the best albums of 2016.
