Watch Oliver Tank's Stunning, Fragile Performance of 'Charlene'

More

Sydney-based producer Oliver Tank recently stopped by Rolling Stone's Sydney office to perform his track "Charlene", from his debut LP OT.

Replacing the restless, jittery blips and blaps of the original with a hauntingly minimal guitar strum, Tank repositions the track in a prominently vulnerable position. There he aptly partners the blunt lines of insecurity ("I don't know how I feel") and spikes of self-awareness ("there's something in my head that just won't let me be here") with a surrounding sense that the whole song is only seconds away from complete collapse.

Having already played Newcastle, Wollongong and Sydney last week, Tank continues his run of album launch shows this weekend in Brisbane.
