Sia soundtracks the great escape of two young children in the exciting new video for "Never Give Up."
The clip follows two kids – their faces shrouded, but wearing blonde-and-black Sia wigs – searching for each other in an abandoned and ominous train station. As Sia belts her latest inspirational anthem, the kids reunite, scale a steely locomotive and follow the tracks out of the station and into the night.
"Never Give Up" appears on the soundtrack for Lion, the new movie based on Saroo Brierley's memoir, A Long Way Home. At age five, Brierley, who grew up in an impoverished Indian village, fell asleep on a train, woke up in Calcutta and managed to survive long enough to be adopted by an Australian couple. As a young man, Brierley embarked on a new journey to find his birth mother using Google Earth. Lion stars Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman, David Wenham and Rooney Mara. The film is set to open in Australia on January 19th.
As for Sia, the pop star released her latest album, This Is Acting, last year. She also contributed another single, "Angel by the Wings," to The Eagle Huntress soundtrack, and appeared on a reworking of "Satisfied" on The Hamilton Mixtape.
