My Soundtrack: Birds Of Tokyo's Ian Kenny

Earlier this month, Birds of Tokyo released their politically-charged new album Brace. Brimming with end-of-days proclamations and fist-shook anger, it's a heavy ride, displaying a band brave enough to go all-in alongside their strong-held beliefs.

Surprising then that, when we recently caught up with Birds of Tokyo frontman Ian Kenny to discuss the songs that have shaped his life, the focus was far more subdued, with the vocalist name-checking Barnsy, Farnsy and even pop brute Robbie Williams as sources of inspiration.

All words below by Ian Kenny.
